in the closing scene of bright future, a mob of young people marched to a beatific song. they were a little lost at the beginning, a little naughty, a little random. as they moved on, they picked up a direction, order, purpose.
they were all wearing black pants, white shirts, and t-shirts with che's picture on them.
I saw Bright Future a couple of years ago. I felt the music was all wrong for what was happening in the film, that was one of the reasons I liked it.

there were all kinds of little quirks in that film, everything seems slightly off - the two actors, they looked like they were modeling for comme des garcons, with all these dashing outfits. the acting was a little off, too, with almost a cartoonish quality to it. the strange thing though is that i'm spellbound by these quirks. it's my first kiyoshi kurosawa film, so i'm still soaking up his style. reserve judgments for the future.
